2026 Takeoff: Sydney’s Airport as a Destination
Western Sydney International Airport (WSI), opening in late 2026, will be Australia’s first brand-new international airport in over 50 years.
Sydney is about to get a whole new way to travel!
Western Sydney International Airport (WSI), opening in late 2026, will be Australia’s first brand-new international airport in over 50 years.
Nestled in Badgerys Creek, just 35 minutes from the city’s main airport,
the terminal is designed by Zaha Hadid Architects and COX Architecture to be,
more than a place to catch a flight—
it’s a destination in its own right.
The $5.3 billion terminal draws inspiration from Australia’s natural beauty while keeping passengers’ comfort front and center.
Both domestic and international flights operate from the same building, with 24/7 service and airlines including Qantas, Singapore Airlines, and Air New Zealand.
Flying through WSI promises to be more than just travel—it’s an experience in itself. ✈️✨
Excited to see how Sydney’s travel experience is about to change?
